School children often had to walk miles to school and were let out of class when crops needed tending.

State mandate set aside a section of each township for schools sites.

The Panhandle Historic Preservation Alliance is an "umbrella" organization that invites Historical Organizations in the Panhandle of Florida to join it to "more effectively use our resources and manpower in the preservation of our historic treasures."

Documenting Santa Rosa historical sites with Dr. Brian Rucker, professor at the Pensacola Junior College.

Photo Albums of old pictures are being put together.

Thought is being given to producing a booklet of photos for sale to the general public. If you can share some of your old photos, or just want to comment on the project, please contact the Museum.
