USGS Geological Survey Maps, e.g., "USGS Quadrangles"

We are grateful to Mr. Don Perrin who found these documents and brought them in to the museum.  The staff is presently cataloging them. Many are in color! They will soon be available for patrons to view in the reference library of the museum.  There are more than 100 maps and here is a sampling of what is among them:  Ft. Barrancas, 1941; Pensacola, 1941; DeFuniak, 1938 & 1944; Crestview, 1944; Laurel Hill, 1949 someone wrote in the plat owner's names in one section.  Also included are the towns of Niceville, Blountstown, Caryville, Chipley, Campbeltown, and Bonifay...and many, many  more.
