Locals:

Mr. Holden, of Wisconsin, is building a neat cottage upon his lot across the lake.

 

Mr. Yorkey, who made large purchases In real estate north of this place a year ago is in the city.

 

The Rogers Goshen Band has rendered some fine music during the past session of the Chautauqua.

 

Mr. Iverson Goodwin, of Portland, made our heart glad last Thursday and in return he will continue to read the best paper in the county.

 

Mr. Duncan, who came to this place from South Bend, Ind., died last Tuesday evening, of heart disease. The body was taken to South Bend for burial.

 

Mr. Henry Hitchcock has purchased the property consisting of sixty acres from Mr. Henderson, two miles west of town. The sale was made through the DeFuniak Springs Land Office.

 

We accidentally omitted to mention the sudden death of Mr. Jesse Edge, of Argyle, which occurred last week. Death was caused by paralysis and the sad event caused a shock to his many friends throughout the county.
