Freeport Tips
JB Williams has rubbed his mustach off learning to ride his bicycle.
The private school is progressing nicely under the management of Prof.
William Stoneman.
JJ MCCaskill & Co. shipped 5,000 lbs. of wool this week.
Messrs. JC Ward, RP Bludworth, JB Williams and GW Underwood went to
DeFuniak Saturday and report a pleasant time.
Our streets were crowded with drummers from Mobile Monday. Among the
many were Pete Cooper and Mr. Pilaschoaty.
WT Bludworth from DeFuniakm is visiting relatives here.
Parsca Wesley of Pt. Washington, delivered a splendid sermon at the
Methodist Church Sunday morning. Miss Ella McCaskill is visiting
relatives at Summerville this week.
Harlow Everett passed through enroute to Grayton Beach where he will
enjoy surf bathing and fishing for two or three weeks.
Mr. CC McIver was up in Holmes Co. last week lookin after a better
half. He was weighed in the balance and found wanting.
Capt. RP Bludworth of the Otto made a flying trip to Pensacola last
week in the interest of his steamer.
Mr. WH Wesley and family, Mr. CH Rutan and Mr. Wilson, of Pt.
Washington came over Sunday and were detained on account of rain.
JR McLean of Geneva, is in town this week on some timber business.
Mr. Geo. Wahl who recently had his dwelling destroyed by fire has
almost completed a new one.
Mr. Nim McGuire, our worthy Notary Public, was visiting relatives at
Milligan last week. The Misses Pippin from Ozark, Ala., are visiting
the Misses Colvin of this place.

Robert McCaskill passed through enroute to Pensacola Tuesday. Bob
is a hustler.
Mr. Chas. Prida, foreman of the cigar factory, spent a few days in
Pensacola this week.
The Misses Olive Wilson and Libbie Moore have been spending some time
in town attending the meeting at the ME Church.
Messers. WL Plank and others are enjoying Grayton.
Charley Andrews, who is teaching in the northern part of the county,
was visiting friends in the city Saturday.
Mr. LF Cochran is having a handsom residence erected on Baldwin Ave.
between the New York House and the DeFuniak Springs Hotal.
Mr. Nim McGuire, wife and baby, passed through DeFuniak on Monday last
enroute to their home at Freeport after spending several days at
Milligan visiting relatives and friends. Mr. McGuire is
book-keeper for JJ McCaskill & Co., has a host of friends in this
county and a pleasant word for every one.
Our enterprising townsman, Mr. TF McGourin, is having a two- story
building erected on Baldwin Ave., the lower story of which we
understand is to be used for the Green Grocers business under the
management of Mr. C Weinert, formerly of Pensacola but now a resident
of this place.
